What is Autism in children?

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is a neurodevelopmental difference that affects how children communicate, interact with others, and experience the world. Every autistic child is unique, but common themes include differences in social communication, sensory processing, and repetitive behaviours or intense interests.

We follow NICE guideline CG142. All assessments are multidisciplinary and family-centred.

We offer secure video-based individual patient assessment (clinically validated for remote use). Parents attend from home, and the child interacts with our clinician via secure video platform. We also offer face-to-face at our Colchester clinic.

Will the diagnosis be accepted by my child's school?

Yes. Our reports are written by HCPC registered clinical psychologists and are recognised by mainstream schools, SENCOs, and local authorities for EHCP applications.

Can my child be assessed if they are non-speaking or have high support needs?

Absolutely. Our clinicians are experienced with children across the full spectrum, including non-speaking, PDA profile, and those with complex needs. We adapt the individual patient assessment accordingly.

How much does a child autism assessment cost?

£800 including all appointments, individual patient assessment, developmental history, MDT review, and the full diagnostic report. Payment plans available.

Do you offer a combined assessment for Autism and ADHD?

Yes. If you suspect both Autism and ADHD, we offer a combined assessment for £1,350, saving you £150 compared to booking them separately. The combined assessment explores both conditions simultaneously and provides a comprehensive report.
