What is ADHD?

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects executive functions — the brain's ability to plan, focus, organise, and regulate emotions. It is not a behavioural problem or a lack of willpower.

Frequently asked questions about ADHD

Can I be assessed for ADHD if I'm an adult?
Yes. ADHD is a lifelong condition that often continues into adulthood. We assess adults using the DIVA-5, which is specifically validated for adult ADHD.
Do I need a referral from a GP?
No. You can self-refer directly to us. We accept referrals from individuals, parents, GPs, schools, and other professionals.
Is online assessment as good as in-person?
Yes. DIVA-5 and clinical interviews are validated for remote administration. Our online assessments have the same clinical rigour as in-person appointments.
How much does an ADHD assessment cost?
£700 including all appointments, DIVA-5, QbTest, MDT review, and the full diagnostic report. Payment plans available.
Do you offer a combined assessment for ADHD and Autism?
Yes. If you suspect both ADHD and Autism, we offer a combined assessment for £1,350, saving you £150 compared to booking them separately.
What happens after the assessment?
After the MDT review, you will receive feedback on your results and a comprehensive diagnostic report with recommendations for workplace or educational adjustments and post-diagnostic support.
